The client purchased a large new home for family gatherings and to enable renting of some areas. The garden then needed to respond to both the needs of a large and generational family and young fammilies renting the property. The property also included a Yurt renetal area, where further design was required to enable a new entrance from the road and parking area in the adjacent field.

The garden was over a number of levels. The lower level by the house was provided with a fun formal design, with paths linking a new outdoor kitchen area, fire pit, a small patios around the entrances to the house. All areas providing a place to sit relax and take in the magnificent views acorss the surrounding countryside.

The upper area became more naturalised, with a winding path through a new woodland area, to another firepit created to appear out from out of the ground and winding paths through a new meadow with multi stem trees bulit up form the existing bedrock with curving stone walls.

The design alos includes a kids play area, with tunnels, swings an natural paths, hideouts, willow structures and large undergrowth….a place to run and explore and create their own spaces!
