ReinterpretedPatio Area - Plymouth
After many of years of use, my client came to me requesting some rework of an old dishevelled patio. The patio was also very long. Very very long, and also quite thin. It was not coherent with a new layout both within the house and connecting to the wider garden.
Proving raised beds to along the edge, provided a more dynamic space and lower beds created by the house provided more interest in the movement across the patio as well as defining the spaces from the house into the garden.
Two new water features were introduced to create sound and movement within the garden.
New planting of grasses and long flowering perrenials, create movement and colour, along with some multi-stem Amelanchiers to frame the views out across the wider valley and hold the eye back to the house.
Project is currently being tendered, looking to complete early 2022.
