Natural Swimming Pool and Wildflower garden
The house for this project had a very strong Edwardian character, with an element of formality, with a new build extension at the rear.
The design used took incorporated the formality of the house with a rectilinear design, creating a formal walk into from the garden entrance, via the drive, to the main back door, lined with Buxus and Taxas fastiagata. The main room was provided a view through a new gravel seating area lined with a low beach hedge, right throuh to the natural swimming pol. The client was a very keen gardener and wanted to really develop a wildlife friendly garden. A wonderful brief to take on from any designer!
Taking in a wildflower meadow, for lazy summer days, a wild swimming pool and more formal terrace areas. The design maximised the planted area to divide and soften the rectilinear design, whilst providing the client with large borders filled with large shrubs and wild life friendly perrenials.
