The client recently purchased a modern new home for their family, with expansive views across Looe and the surrounding harbour and valley. The garden at the back sloped steeply up with undernourished standalone trees and surrounded by overgrown shrubs.

The garden was to be redesigned over a number of levels, taking inspiration from local traditional retained gardens, with a modern twist. The design created level access from the existing kitchen to a new garden play room, fire pit and level lawn. the lower guest annex was to be provided with a new patio and access up to the top garden.

The kitchen was to then open out into a new patio area with outdoor kitchen.

The design recently got planning within Looes conservation area.
