Born on the West coast of America, Madeleine has long been involved in the design world, starting off in fashion design. She then spent time working at a plant nursery, developing knowledge of a range of plants and care, before working for the USDA (Dept of Agriculture) working with avocado and citrus growers to bring nature back into their farms.

She then studied horticulture and design at Merrit College in Oakland, California, before starting up her own gardening company.

She then moved to the UK with her family. Since returning to work, from time out raising her children, Madeleine has been working for Oak and Rose Design undertaking design, planting and maintenance whilst furthering her knowledge and skills completing her RHS part 2.
